What is covered

Motorcycles, scooters and mopeds are eligible for Rescue, Rescue Plus, Recovery and Recovery Plus. Cover can be attached to the bike or bought as personal cover for the rider, which then extends to cars. European cover can be added for touring.

What stands out

  • Bikes are not treated as a special case, so pricing is in line with car cover.
  • Personal cover is a cost-effective way to cover a bike and a car on one policy.
  • European touring cover is available on the motorcycle product.

What to check

  • Recovery equipment used by the local contractor for motorcycles.
  • Pillion inclusion on recovery.
  • Exclusions for trikes, sidecar outfits and heavily modified bikes.
  • Whether cover applies while the bike is SORN over winter.

How it compares

The AA and RAC also cover bikes and bring their patrol fleets to the job, at a higher price. Several budget online brands do not cover two-wheelers at all. For most riders Green Flag is a sensible middle option. Our motorbike comparison guide covers the questions to ask any provider.
