We explain how breakdown cover works, compare the providers on the terms that actually differ between them, and answer the questions readers send us. We do not sell policies, run quote forms or collect your details. Where we link to a provider, the link takes you to the provider's own site and you deal with them directly.
How we make money
Some links to providers are affiliate links. If you click through and buy, the provider may pay us a commission. This does not affect the price you pay or the order in which providers appear; tables are ordered by cover features, not by what we earn. Pages that contain affiliate links say so at the top.
How we review
Profiles are based on the provider's published policy documents, their own stated service figures, the public reliability and complaints data, and reader feedback. We update profiles when a provider changes its tiers, its service partner or its terms. Every page shows a last-reviewed date. If you find something out of date, please tell us.
What we are not
We are not a broker, an insurer or a breakdown provider, and nothing on this site is regulated financial advice. Breakdown cover terms change frequently; always read the policy document before buying.
