Green Flag - Breakdown Cover
Green Flag started off as National Breakdown in 1971. It changed its name in 1994, when the Green Flag brand was launched to coincide with its sponsorship of the England football team.
The company responds to more than a million calls for help each year, in Europe and the UK. It has a network of 6,000 UK mechanics and 15,000 European ones established in 1999.
Green Flag provides 24 hour breakdown cover and has around 5 million customers worldwide. The company offers five different levels of cover, from a basic roadside rescue service to one that includes cover at your home, an emergency hire car and 90 days’ European cover.
Green Flag covers your car, no matter who’s driving it. This means that you won’t be covered for breakdowns if you’re driving someone else’s car, but your friends and family can benefit from peace of mind if they borrow yours.
In 2004, Green Flag was voted the ‘best direct breakdown cover provider’ and ‘best online breakdown cover provider’ by readers of Your Money magazine.
